Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how this app (the “App”) handles information when you use it. The App is a utility that displays live video from a compatible external USB UVC device on iPad or Apple silicon Mac. Depending on the hardware used, this may include endoscopes, microscopes, webcams, or compatible HDMI capture cards.

The App can also play live audio from compatible devices, save snapshots to your Photos library, and offer an optional in-app purchase to remove ads.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, phone number, or address in the App.

• Camera permission: The App requests camera permission to display video from a connected external USB UVC device. The live feed is processed on-device for display. The App does not upload your camera feed.
• Photos (Add Only): If you choose to save a snapshot, the App requests permission to add images to your Photos library. The App does not need full photo-library read access to save snapshots.

If a connected device provides live audio, the App may play that audio on your device. Audio is played locally on-device and is not uploaded to our servers by the App.

The App may display ads using Google AdMob. Depending on your region, choices, and device settings, ads may be non-personalized or personalized.

Where required, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before requesting ads.

When ads are enabled, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) may collect or receive certain information to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve reliability. This may include:

• IP address (which may be used to estimate a device’s general location).
• Device identifiers and related advertising identifiers.
• Advertising data (such as ad impressions, clicks, and related measurement signals).
• Diagnostics (such as crash logs and performance data to improve stability and troubleshoot issues).
• User interaction data with ads (for example, which ads were shown and how they were interacted with).

The exact data processed can vary depending on your consent choices, device settings, and the configuration of ads.

The consent flow (UMP) is used to present consent choices and store your consent status or choices so the App can determine whether it is allowed to request ads. The App does not ask you for your name or email during the consent flow.

The App may offer an optional in-app purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

We do not directly collect personal information such as your name, email, phone number, contacts, or precise location. We do not operate user accounts inside the App.

If ads are enabled, certain ad-related data may be processed by Google as described above.

• To provide the App’s functionality (display external video and audio from compatible USB UVC devices and save snapshots to Photos).
• To display ads (if enabled) and measure ad performance.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability (for example, diagnostics or crash logs from SDKs).
• To process the optional in-app purchase that removes ads.

We do not sell your personal information. If ads are enabled, the App shares limited information with Google (AdMob/UMP) as needed to deliver and measure ads and to manage consent requirements.

• Live video and audio: processed on-device for playback; not uploaded by the App.
• Snapshots: saved to your Photos library only when you choose to save them.
• Ad-related data: handled by Google according to Google’s policies and retention practices.
• Purchase records: handled by Apple under App Store purchase systems.

• Permissions: You can grant or revoke Camera and Photos permissions in iOS/iPadOS Settings.
• Ads & consent: Where applicable, you can adjust consent choices when prompted and manage tracking permissions in device settings.
• Purchases: You can manage subscriptions and purchases through your Apple account settings, where applicable.

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top when changes are made.
